The Hotzone Hintertux Open turned 11 this year and the event remains the first real meeting place for riders to congregate and celebrate the beginnings of the new season. With events and parties taking place on and off the hill, the entire weekend has a real, close knit feeling and despite the weather being on the rough side, the vibe remains positive throughout. Here we caught up with riders, industry and other attendees to find out why they come to the Hotzone Hintertux Opening.

Peter Rossner and Mary Lugen are a rider and industry combo, with peter heading up the marketing and team managering for Deelux and Mary being one of their team riders. Peter states that he enjoys coming to Hintertux to film his friends and supply products for riders to test and give them some enjoyment on the hill. Mary finds the opening a great chance to meet up with all her friends and shred together.

This duo were so stoked to get the first lift up to Hintertux, taht they camped out in the Hintertux carpark in tents. Whilst they said the temperatures were on the cold side, the positive vibes of the weekend keeps them coming back each year.
